Baby Boy - Research

Baby Boy:
The synopsis of the film is a young man who is once iresponsible and living with his mother, and how he transformed from a "Baby boy" to a man, through this transition he encounters problems along the way, although he finds his true happiness in his wife and kid in the there own apartment.
This film deals with testing of manhood very well, and has a few main incidsents which highlight very although i will analysis only this specific clip. There were three main location in the store, out the store, and the park and in reality theses are three places which are commonly known for violence. It also had a strong link to alcohol which is another factor linked to violence which enables the viewers to understand the scenario better. Although Tyrses get's jumped and stolen during the day time, the fact that the revenge took place at night time when predominately most crimes take place added an edge to the piece which made it real, and some what scary. The two main actors Tyrese Gibson and Omar Gooding which played violent characters put across the essence of manhood really well especially they said things like "Respect your elders" and how they gang members disrespected someone older then themselves, so they had to face the consequences, although the revenge was in a violent our one dosent have to be it can be the opposite being peaceful, but remebering the people did to you. The cinematography worked very well with this section especially how it went day to night, from peaceful to violent, it works really well. Also the close-up shots make the scene more intiment and brings out the emotions of the chracters, and the sad music complemented this especially when Joseph saw his friend Sweetpea whipping one of the gang members. All in all manhood is displayed really well this extract although it incorporated violence.
